About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to join our client's innovative sports technology company. This is a remote or hybrid position offering an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a core platform that is undergoing a complete rebuild using a modern technology stack. As the first dedicated engineering hire, you will work directly with product and commercial leadership, playing a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction and delivering high-quality solutions that impact real users and generate revenue.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong product mindset, with experience in end-to-end application development and operational excellence. You will be responsible for building client-facing dashboards, admin tools, and mobile-web applications, managing complex data layers, and ensuring platform stability under real-world conditions. This role offers a unique chance to influence architecture, engineering standards, and product delivery in a fast-paced environment driven by innovation and ownership.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid background in full stack development, with a focus on TypeScript and React, and extensive experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL. You should have a track record of shipping and maintaining real applications in small team settings, showcasing strong problem-solving skills and a product-oriented approach. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern deployment pipelines is advantageous.
Key Qualifications Include
- Proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
- Deep understanding of relational database design, constraints, multi-tenant security, and data migrations
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud hosting (preferably DigitalOcean), and version control (GitHub Actions)
- Ability to operate independently, make data-driven decisions, and collaborate closely with product and business teams
- An interest or passion for sports is desirable but not essential
Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Developer, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing client-facing dashboards, administrative tools, and mobile-web applications for field data capture
- Managing the data layer, including schema design, row-level security, analytics, and legacy data migration efforts
- Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure platform stability, reliability, and continuous deployment
- Working with AI-native development practices, reviewing agent-produced code, and maintaining high-quality standards
- Shaping architecture, coding standards, and development processes across the growing product portfolio
- Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful features on schedule
