About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to join a niche Sports Technology business. This is a remote or hybrid opportunity offering a competitive salary of £50,000. As the first dedicated engineering hire, you will take full ownership of the company's core platform, which is undergoing a ground-up rebuild utilizing a modern technology stack. You will work closely with product and commercial leadership, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company's digital offerings. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the development of impactful features, influence architectural decisions, and contribute directly to the company's growth and success. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in full stack development, with proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications. Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Next.js, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL is essential. Experience with modern development tools like Tailwind CSS, Supabase, Drizzle ORM, and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of database schema design, multi-tenant security models, and data migrations. A product-oriented mindset, combined with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, is crucial. An interest in sports and familiarity with AI-assisted development practices will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain client-facing dashboards, administrative tools, and a mobile-web field capture application to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Design and optimize the data layer, including PostgreSQL schema development, implementing multi-tenant row-level security, and managing data migrations, including legacy data.
  • Oversee and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure the stability and reliability of a live, revenue-generating platform under real-world conditions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement AI-native development practices, reviewing agent-produced code, and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Shape and enforce architecture and delivery standards across a growing product portfolio, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Work closely with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, providing technical leadership and guidance.
