Synechron Senior Full Stack Developer Opportunity
Synechron is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join a well-known financial institution to work on a long-term programme of work within derivatives. If you have a strong background in backend and frontend development, cloud infrastructure, and problem-solving, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Python
- Build intuitive and responsive frontend interfaces using TypeScript and React
- Work with AWS components such as EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager using the boto3 Python library
- Use Unix CLI for development and deployment tasks
- Write spec-driven code in GitHub Copilot, iteratively refining requirements with product managers
- Solve complex problems, leveraging a diverse background including maths, physics, or engineering

Experience:
- 10 years experience
- Backend: Python (must be comfortable with pandas and dealing with data-sets of around 100k to 1mm rows)
- Frontend: TypeScript and React
- AWS components: EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager using the boto3 Python library
- GitHub Copilot
- Unix CLI for development and deployment tasks
- Basic knowledge of OTC interest rate derivatives, including lifecycle events such as novation, option exercise, and settlement
- Understanding of initial margin, VaR, E/S, SIMM, and SACCR regulations
This is a long-term rolling contract - 3 days a week in London office - Strong market rates inside IR35
