Full Stack Engineer

Senior Full Stack Engineer Remote UK – Tech For Good industry Salary: £70K to £100K (depending on experience)

We are searching for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to partner with a fast-growing, innovative Digital Health company. You will join their lean, agile engineering team to help scale a core platform that manages patient journeys and supply chain operations, using modern tools while embracing AI-driven development for enhanced efficiency.


About the Role

You will design, build, and scale high-performance applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React. Own AWS cloud infrastructure (Lambda, RDS, SQS) to ensure top-tier security, reliability,Scalability whilst integrating agentic coding and AI tools to accelerate development without compromising engineering excellence. Expect full end-to-end ownership, from user requirements through delivery to ongoing monitoring.


Responsibilities

  • Architect & Build

    • Craft scalable, performant full-stack applications following modern practices
    • Develop features with Node.js, TypeScript and ensure seamless React (with TypeScript) frontend integration
  • Cloud & Infrastructure

    • Design, implement, and optimise AWS infrastructure (serverless, databases, queues)
    • Ensure robust security, high availability, and disaster recovery through IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and CI/CD pipelines

  • End-to-End Ownership

    • Take full accountability for a wide range of projects, from initial idea to launch and maintenance
    • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand, refine, and deliver high-impact solutions
  • Innovate

    • Research, evaluate, and implement AI-assisted tooling (e.g., agentic coding, generative AI for automation)
    • Balance scripting efficiency with human oversight to deliver faster, higher-quality work

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ software experience, ideally with strong Node.js and TypeScript expertise
  • Advanced relational database skills (PostgreSQL specifically, with complex queries, optimisation, and schema design)
  • 3+ years of AWS Infrastructure experience – including Lambda, RDS, SQS, CI/CD automation (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CDK/CloudFormation)
  • 5+ years in frontend development using React (with TypeScript) to build responsive, performant applications
  • Strong technical fundamentals in system architecture, owing mathematical intuition for problem-solving, and API design, with experience integrating e-commerce systems
  • A collaborative mindset – open to mentoring teammates and guiding best practices
  • Passion for AI-assisted development – eager to experiment with tools to enhance productivity while maintaining excellent results
  • Bonus: Experience in Healthcare, Tech For Good, or HealthTech is preferred but not mandatory
