Full Stack Engineer
Full Stack Developer
Location: Leeds (2-3 days per week onsite) Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Benefits
The Opportunity
We're looking for a talented Full Stack Developer to join a growing engineering team building modern, cloud-based digital products. You'll work across the full software development lifecycle, helping to design, build, and deliver scalable applications using Python on the backend and React/TypeScript on the frontend.
This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative engineering environment where you'll have real input into technical decisions, product development, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modern full stack web applications.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
- Develop responsive, user-friendly frontends using React and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design.
- Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments.
- Troubleshoot, optimise, and continuously improve existing applications.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience developing software with Python.
- Excellent frontend development experience using React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Good understanding of modern frontend tooling (e.g., Vite, Webpack, npm).
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Comfortable working within Agile delivery teams.

Desirable Skills
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with GraphQL.
- Exposure to microservice architectures.
- Experience working with event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with automated end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced product or SaaS environment.
