The Client

Tempest Vane Partners is delighted to be partnering with a leading global alternatives investment manager that invests heavily in AI and technology across their front-to-back office platforms.


This is an exceptional opportunity to join a world-class engineering organisation operating at the intersection of AI, Trading, Treasury, Finance and Operations.

You'll work directly with Traders and business stakeholders to design, build and deliver business-critical systems in an environment that combines the pace of a technology company with the scale and complexity of a global hedge fund.

What you'll be doing:

  • Owning projects from requirements gathering through to production.
  • Building full-stack solutions using C#/.NET or Java.
  • Developing and influencing AI tooling and platforms across the operational landscape of the fund.
  • Working closely with Trading, Treasury, Finance and Operations teams.
  • Contributing to architectural and strategic technology decisions.
  • Maintaining engineering excellence through best practices and code reviews.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong commercial experience with C#/.NET or Java.
  • Excellent SQL skills.
  • A strong understanding of AI concepts and modern AI tooling.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering AI platforms or products.
  • Proven stakeholder management and project ownership.
  • Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic approach to delivery.
  • Experience with Kafka or stream processing technologies is advantageous.
