Full Stack Engineer
Full Stack .NET Developer
The Full Stack .NET Developer will play a pivotal role in the development of new digital products, extending and enhancing the established software platform within a regulated scientific environment.
Summary of Position
This role involves contributing across the full software development lifecycle while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver secure, high-quality, well-tested software solutions. It offers the opportunity to influence technical direction and support continuous improvement in development practices and user experience across the digital product portfolio.
Location: Nottingham, UK (hybrid working scope available)
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Product Development, duties include:
- Demonstrating and upholding the Company’s Core Values: Excellence, Innovation, Ownership, and Care.
- Developing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across both mobile and back-end software layers, adhering to platform standards and conventions.
- Implementing secure authentication and session management aligned with regulated pharmaceutical software security standards.
- Contributing to architectural decisions and setting technical standards and best practices for the software team.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, Jira management, and progress tracking aligned to structured delivery plans).
- Maintaining clear, precise, and up-to-date technical documentation in Confluence, including architecture notes, API guidelines, and onboarding materials.
- Collaborating with Product, QA, and Compliance teams to ensure software meets regulatory and quality requirements, including 21 CFR Part 11 as applicable.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to improve code quality, development processes, and the user experience of software products.
- Acting as the technical voice for software engineering across the business, contributing insights to product planning and prioritisation discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing with C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET 6/8+), with proven project delivery.
- Proficiency: Strong skills in Angular and/or TypeScript.
- Integration Experience: Proven ability to integrate with REST APIs within production codebases.
- Security Awareness: Comprehensive understanding of secure authentication patterns, including token handling and session management.
- Version Control & Automation: Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills for translating technical concepts to diverse teams/levels.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical, proactive mind with technical curiosity.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Ability to build trust and effective relationships across business teams.
- Regulated Environment Experience: Prior work within regulated environments (e.g. GMP, GLP, ISO 9001).
- Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like 21 CFR Part 11.
- Organisational Skills: High attention to detail, resistance to crunch workloads.
- Physical Requirement: Valid driving license.
- Mindset: Growth-oriented, with an enthusiasm for science, technology, and innovation.

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Industry-Specific Background: Prior experience within pharmaceutical, laboratory, or medical device software environments.
- Regulatory Expertise: Experience with 21 CFR Part 11, GMP, GLP, or equivalent regulatory frameworks.
- Technical Tools Proficiency: Expertise using Jira and Confluence for project delivery.
- Team Leadership: Experience mentoring developers or advancing team development initiatives.
- Cross-Platform Development: Hands-on experience building mobile apps using React Native, .NET MAUI, or Xamarin.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 per annum, determined by skills and experience.
- Daily Lunch: Complimentary, no charge.
