Human Digital Full Stack Engineer

Human Digital delivers data and research that helps our customers understand and respond to the most harmful threats facing us as a society and as a nation, including from terrorism, violent extremism and foreign state interference. We are a small team of analysts and engineers who are proud of the positive impact our work has.

We are looking for a full stack engineer to manage the building, maintenance, and ongoing development of Human Digital’s suite of web applications as part of its in-house technical platform, and against a specific customer contract. The role will involve working across the front- and back-end of our application infrastructure and will be responsible for the performance and security of the application.

The Role

The role will form an integral component of Human Digital’s engineering team and will involve close collaboration with our research, analyst and business teams.

The successful candidate will be able to quickly understand how our existing infrastructure works, drive high standards of software development, and work with the Lead Developer to design, test and deliver new functionality.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of data visualisation principles, the development of data-driven web applications, and the supporting infrastructure required to deliver operational data products. They will be willing to work on a range of tasks, including both back and front-end, but are not expected to be a specialist in every technology.

Human Digital is a small team that relies on the hard work, co-operation and self-sufficiency of each of its members. The successful candidate will fit seamlessly into the culture of the team, remaining enthusiastic and conscientious during intense delivery periods and motivated and ambitious during quieter delivery periods.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
