Company Description
Calibre is an AI-native startup founded by ex-Palantir engineers that recently raised a $3.3M pre-seed round to transform the £190B certification industry.
Job Description
Join Calibre as a founding full-stack engineer to dismantle the archaic £190B TIC industry. Working alongside ex-Palantir founders, you will build AI-native agentic systems that replace manual document checks and Excel with automated audits. This role offers extreme ownership and the chance to apply the Palantir playbook to a foundational global market.
Location
London, UK
Why this role is remarkable
- Work directly with two ex-Palantir technical co-founders to master the "FDE playbook" for deploying complex AI workflows in enterprise settings.
- Join a well-capitalized team with a $3.3M pre-seed from top-tier San Francisco VCs targeting a broken £190B global industry.
- As a founding engineer, you will have total architectural ownership and influence, shipping critical code to real-world customers from day one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The ideal candidate
- A top-tier programmer with 0-3 years of professional experience and a strong first-principles computer science background from a top university.
