Full Stack Engineer - Innovation Team (100% Remote United Kingdom)

Full Stack Engineer – Innovation & Analytics (PHP/JavaScript/Prototyping)

Location: 100% remote (United Kingdom only)

Matomo, an open-source analytics platform trusted by enterprises, governments, and public institutions requiring full data ownership, is expanding its engineering team. We’re seeking a Full Stack Engineer to build and deliver the next generation of privacy-first analytics capabilities, from rapid prototyping and AI-powered insights to scalable product innovations embedded directly into our core platform.

About the Role

Own end-to-end innovation development within a small, autonomous team, working closely with the CTO and senior engineers to turn high-impact concepts into practical, production-ready solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, prototyping, and delivering new features across backend (PHP) and frontend (JavaScript), with flexibility to explore Python and Node.js where relevant.
  • Rapidly exploring and validating AI-powered insights and analytics features—and other opportunities in analytics, visualization, integrations, and user experience.
  • Balancing speed and innovation with scalability, security, and long-term value, ensuring solutions align with privacy-first principles.
  • Collaborating directly with Matomo’s co-founders and senior engineers, sharing learnings to drive company-wide innovation adoption.
  • Maintaining autonomous ownership of ideas—from concept to deployment—while fostering technical excellence through testing, code reviews, and documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
