Senior Full Stack Developer (Python/AWS/React) - Hybrid - Reading
FinTech - Cloud-Native Platform Development
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a rapidly growing FinTech organisation, helping to build and scale a cloud-native platform. This role will play a key part in designing, developing, and enhancing backend services for device lifecycle management while contributing to modern frontend applications and cloud infrastructure.
The successful candidate will have strong experience across Python development, AWS cloud technologies, React, containerisation, and CI/CD automation, with the ability to bridge the gap between software engineering and cloud operations to deliver highly scalable, resilient applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and RESTful APIs using Python.
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Develop event-driven architectures and microservices to support platform growth.
- Build and enhance modern, responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to deliver intuitive user experiences.
- Ensure frontend applications are optimised for performance and scalability.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud-native solutions within AWS.
- Implement scalable architectures leveraging serverless and container-based technologies.
- Ensure security, reliability, and operational excellence across cloud environments.
- Package and deploy applications using Docker.
- Support container orchestration and environment consistency across development, testing, and production.
- Drive best practices in infrastructure automation and deployment processes.
- Develop and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using Jenkins.
- Promote continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
- Enable reliable, low-risk deployments with minimal downtime.

- Infrastructure as Code using: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.

- Experience working within Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Able to work collaboratively within cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong commitment to clean code principles and software craftsmanship.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Advocate of automated testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Ability to work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams.
- Comfortable contributing to technical discussions and architectural decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
