Full Stack Engineer / Technical Lead

Full Stack Engineer / Technical Lead (Python, API, JavaScript, React) – Oxford / WFH (up to £90k)


About the Role

Ownership of the technology strategy, architecture, and software platforms driving a growing motorsport and technology business. This role is ideal for an Engineer who thrives on transforming engineering functions, influencing business-critical decisions, and building high-performing teams—while staying hands-on with product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the technical roadmap, making architectural decisions to future-proof scalable systems.
  • Evolve the technology stack, introduce modern tools, and refine engineering practices across the organisation.
  • Build real-time platforms supporting:
    • Telemetry
    • Data visualisation
    • Analytics, reporting
    • AI-enabled workflows
  • Review & mentor junior developers, lead technical deliveries, and foster scrum nor deliverables.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align tech strategy with business goals and explain technical strategy to stakeholders clearly

About You

Essential Requirements

✔ Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline

✔ Proven hands-on experience in:

  • Python (APIs, full-stack frameworks)
  • JavaScript + React (building dynamic frontends)
  • SQL / NoSQL (data-driven applications)
  • Clean code, testing, and scalable system design

✔ Technical leadership experience:

  • Code review, mentoring developers, or leading technical delivery in fast-moving teams
  • Strong communication—explaining technical strategy to non-technical stakeholders

✔ Well-rounded cloud & DevOps skills:

  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or similar cloud infra
  • ai & LLMs added to daily software development workflows
