Full Stack MERN / Java Developer – Digital Banking
Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)
Contract Type: Contract
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong background in Java, Node.js, and React to join a leading digital banking programme based in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale banking platforms, contributing from day one in a fast-paced delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.
- Build and enhance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
- Develop responsive front-end applications using React.
- Work with Oracle Database to develop and optimise data solutions.
- Deploy and support applications on the Azure CNE deployment platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in an Agile environment.
- Contribute immediately to ongoing banking technology initiatives.

Essential Skills
- Strong commercial experience with Java, Node.js, and React.
- Solid experience developing applications with Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database.
- Experience deploying applications using the Azure CNE platform.
- Proven full-stack software development experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Kafka.
- Knowledge of TypeScript.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams.

Domain Experience
- Previous experience within Digital Banking, Retail Banking, or other Financial Services platforms is highly desirable.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate relevant banking project experience and contribute with minimal onboarding.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong expertise across Java, Node.js, and React.
- Proven experience with Spring Boot and Oracle Database.
- Exposure to Azure CNE deployments.
- Banking domain knowledge and a track record of delivering enterprise-scale applications.
- The ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced delivery environment.
Location Requirement: Hybrid working in London, with 2 days per week onsite (mandatory).
