About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead Full Stack Developer to join a fast-growing UK SaaS technology company based in Hampshire. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the development of innovative, data-driven digital products used by commercial teams to enhance customer engagement and understanding. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction of the company’s next-generation customer-facing platforms. This is a hands-on leadership position that involves designing, developing, and deploying scalable applications within a modern cloud environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs. The role emphasizes technical excellence, best practices, and continuous improvement, making it ideal for an experienced developer seeking to influence technical strategy while remaining actively involved in coding and system design.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in full stack development with at least 10 years of experience in the field.
  • Minimum of five years working with JavaScript and TypeScript, demonstrating proficiency in building large-scale SaaS platforms.
  • Solid understanding of system design principles, scalable architectures, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience working with modern development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and agile methodologies.
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred, but equivalent real-world experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for performance optimization, security, and engineering best practices.
  • Interest in leveraging AI to enhance software development processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of projects within a high-performing development team, ensuring timely and quality outputs.
  • Contribute to solution design, system architecture, and domain modeling to create scalable and maintainable applications.
  • Develop proof-of-concepts and conduct spikes to explore complex or uncertain technical areas.
  • Break down requirements into epics and user stories in collaboration with product managers and stakeholders.
  • Write and deliver production-ready code across the full technology stack, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, security, and maintainability throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support and enhance live systems post-deployment, ensuring stability and optimal performance.
  • Influence and shape the technical direction, tooling, and best practices across the engineering team.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the company's technical capabilities.
