Full time Trainee Water and Leisure Consultant
£25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications
Hybrid working - 2 office days per week - Birmingham
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join RoSPA’s team of health and safety consultants and assist with the facilitation, administration and delivery of key safety information and commercial services. Key responsibilities in this role will include responding to safety questions from the public and RoSPA members, maintaining an up-to-date record of work activities and enquiries, supporting the development of safety policies, carrying out desktop and on-site safety reviews, and assisting the sales team with scoping water and leisure jobs. Full training will be given so that ultimately you will have the ability to identify and develop commercial leads, assist with project proposals, conduct water and leisure reviews independently, and quality review consultancy reports.

- Experience or qualifications in the water and leisure industry?
- A passion for water safety?
- Excellent interpersonal skills?
- A full, clean driving license and access to a suitable vehicle to attend site visits?
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver water and leisure consultancy to members of the public, potential customers, and clients, including SuDS/water safety reviews and desktop reviews
- Manage enquiries and requests that come into the department and ensure responses are given within agreed SLA timeframes
- Lead on advice and enquiries received from the public and developers regarding water and leisure consultancy
- Support the Sales team with scoping water and leisure jobs
- Engage with RoSPA’s policy teams for a joined-up approach to water and leisure safety
- Responsible for quality checking water and leisure consultancy work from colleagues and associate consultants, conducting quality checks for commercial and project proposals and reports.
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent telephone manner and written communication skills
- English and Mathematics GCSE level or equivalent
