Functional Assessor
Location: Hybrid (3 days at your local assessment centre + 2 days remote) Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Competitive Salary & Benefits
- Current Starting Salary: £46,813
- Salary after 12 months: £48,813
- First-year earnings potential: Up to £50,813 (including £2,000 local bonus + benefits)

This Functional Assessor role is ideal if you have: ✔ 12+ months post-qualification & registration experience ✔ Proven experience in the UK as a clinician ✔ The drive to explore a new application of your skills without leaving clinical practice
As a Functional Assessor with Ingeus, you’ll support Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) claimants by carrying out structured assessments to determine their ability to undertake daily activities—** face-to-face, via video, or by telephone**.

Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting focused functional assessments using clinical reasoning and critical questioning
- Writing high-quality, detailing clinical reports for DWP case submissions
- Reviewing evidence, seeking additional data, and clinically triaging cases
- Collaborating with seasoned clinical colleagues to ensure fair and thorough assessments
You’ll work within a familiar clinical context but expand your expertise in an administrative-support capacity, adding valuable experience to your career portfolio.

Who Are We Looking For?
We’re seeking NMC-registered Adult Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or HCPC-registered professionals in the following healthcare disciplines:
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Paramedics
Core Requirements:
- Strong communication skills
- Strong critical-thinking abilities
- Proficiency with computers and familiarity with clients profiling software
