Functional Medical Assessor – Permanent, Hybrid (Norwich)
£40,000 per year | Permanent | Full-Time | Hybrid (Norwich) (Mon-Fri)
Applicants must live within a 90-minute commute of Norwich with minimum 3 days on-site required.

Your clinical judgement will directly shape fair, evidence-based decisions in a Mon–Fri schedule, allowing you to retain your expertise without sacrificing your personal time.
Key Responsibilities
As a Functional Assessor, you will:
- Conduct structured telephone, video или face-to-face assessments to evaluate how a claimant’s condition impacts daily life.
- Interpret clinical evidence and assess its relevance to functional capability.
- Write detailed, high-quality reports based on evidence and professional judgment.
- Apply strict regulatory standards to maintain accuracy and fairness.
- Work towards productivity and quality targets in a structured, analytical environment.
- Deliver respectful, reassuring, and impartial assessments.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria to proceed:
- A recognised qualification as a registered healthcare professional (e.g., RGN, RMN, RLND, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Pharmacist, or At least 12 months’ post-qualification clinical experience
- Current NMC, HCPC, or GPhC registration
- Membership of the relevant professional body (where applicable)
- Full eligibility to practise in the UK
Note: We cannot progress applications without these credentials.
