A clinical salary that finally outruns the ward — £49,934, and over £56,000 potential in year one.

If you're an NMC-registered nurse (adult, mental health or learning disability), a physiotherapist or an occupational therapist, this is one of the best-paid clinical roles in London that doesn't ask for a single night shift in return.

The role:

As a WCA Functional Assessor, you'll carry out Work Capability Assessments on behalf of our client — a leading UK provider of health assessment services — by phone, video or face-to-face, assessing how a person's health condition or disability affects their capability for work and daily activity, and writing the reports that help the DWP make fair decisions. It's pure clinical assessment: structured interviewing, functional and mental state examination, and clear evidence-based report writing — the thinking part of your profession, with protected time to do it properly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What changes:

  • £49,934 basic salary, rising to £50,934 on DWP approval — a base that clears NHS Band 6 pay even with inner-London weighting, from day one.
  • A quality bonus of up to 10% of salary once approved — a potential first-year package of up to £56,027.
  • Monday to Friday. No nights. No weekends. No unsocial-hours rota.
  • Hybrid working — a mix of home-based work and assessments at the [LOCATION] assessment centre.

What doesn't change:

  • Your registration — fully maintained, with your annual professional registration fee reimbursed and revalidation supported.
  • Your clinical reasoning — used on every single case. This is a clinical role, not a step away from one.
  • Your development — full, paid, structured training from day one. You are not expected to know this role; you're taught it, with mentorship through your first months.
