Functional Assessor
Functional Assessor – Hybrid Role (Up to 3 Days Face-to-Face, Remainder Home-Based)
Salary
£42,000.00 per annum
About the Role
Behind every assessment is a person who deserves to feel heard and understood.
At Advo Health, we are part of the Ascenti Group, delivering clinically led, high-quality assessment services that help individuals understand how their health affects their everyday activities and independence.
Our work is grounded in fairness, compassion, and clinical integrity. Every assessment you complete plays an important role in ensuring claimants feel listened to, treated respectfully, and supported throughout their journey.
If you are a healthcare professional looking to step away from hands-on clinical pressures but still craving purpose, this could be the perfect next chapter in your career.
The Role
As a Functional Assessor, your clinical knowledge will be applied in a meaningful new setting. You’ll work on either PIP (Personal Independence Payment) or WCA (Work Capability Assessment).
Our Talent Team will help you identify the best alignment based on your background and experience. No prior Functional Assessor experience is required—full training is provided.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
