Functional Assessor – Hybrid Role
Starting salary – £46,813 Salary at 12 months – £48,813 Potential additional earnings – Up to £50,813 (first year earnings) including £2k local site bonus Benefits – Quarterly bonus, private pension, medical insurance

About the Role
Are you an experienced, motivated, high-performing clinician looking for a fresh challenge and improved work-life balance?
If you have a minimum of 12 months post-qualification and registration experience, have practiced as a UK clinician for the last year, and want to use your skills in a different way without leaving your profession, this role could be the right next step.
Responsibilities
As a Functional Assessor with Ingeus, you’ll:
- Work Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm with hybrid options (3 days on-site/or more)
- Conduct face-to-face, video, and telephone functional assessments of claimants to evaluate:
- Their ability to perform activities of daily living
- Use active listening, critical reasoning, and focused questioning for accurate information gathering
- Produce structured, high-quality clinical reports for submission to the DWP
- Review/submit additional evidence, triaging cases to ensure correct assessment pathways
- Collaborate closely with senior clinical colleagues to deliver consistent, fair assessments

Skills & Qualifications
Eligibility
NMC-registered Adult Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or HCPC-registered:
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Paramedics
Essential Requirements
- Must have 12+ months post-registration experience in the UK
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
- Proficiency in typing and operational awareness with computers
- Enthusiasm for training and skills development
