D365 Business Central Functional Consultant

Outside IR35 | 6 months | £500–£600 per day | Remote (with occasional travel)

Overview

This role focuses on the functional delivery of Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations, covering requirements gathering, business process design, and system configuration to ensure successful and scalable ERP outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead workshops to gather and define business requirements across finance and operations
  • Translate business needs into functional designs aligned to D365 Business Central capabilities
  • Configure core BC modules (Finance, Purchasing, Sales, Inventory)
  • Support SIT/UAT, including test case creation, execution, and defect resolution
  • Collaborate with technical teams, developers, and data migration specialists
  • Support deployment, cutover, and post go-live hypercare activities
  • Provide documentation across functional specs, process flows, and configuration

  • Proven involvement in end-to-end ERP implementations
  • Good understanding of finance and operational processes (P2P, O2C, R2R)
  • Experience with configuration and business process mapping
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced delivery environments
