The functional consultant – S/4 HANA Finance SME (subject matter expert) will be accountable for the solution delivery of all S/4 HANA Finance & Tax projects/use cases for business, working along with a natural team such as S/4 HANA Finance Product Managers, Solution Architects, Functional Analysts, and business process owners/users to ensure robust solutions are built and deployed in the optimal manner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Very Strong SAP and S/4 HANA Finance implementation experience with expertise in Finance and Tax areas.
  • Need to handle project estimations for finance scope, coaching the broader functional team, and leading the team to deliver the agreed Finance & Tax functional solution scope for complex next-gen ERP transformation programs.
  • Work closely with SAP functional analysts, project delivery leads, and business users to translate finance requirements covering legal, fiscal, and regulatory scope into system configurations in line with project delivery scope.
  • Take accountability for end-to-end solution delivery which starts from building solution as per design standards from design authorities, testing of solution, managing cut-over, and closely working with business until solution stabilization in production environments and until handover to operations.

  • Serve as the IT capability face for ERP Finance & Tax across a defined business or regional scope.
  • Engage regularly with senior Finance and Business leaders (VP-1/VP-2), building credibility and trust through strong delivery outcomes.
  • Translate technology‑enabled vision into tangible business outcomes, influencing stakeholders through clear communication and delivery confidence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
