Help shape the future of healthcare.
The National Centre for Integrative Medicine (NCIM) is a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to transforming healthcare through conventional, functional, holistic and lifestyle approaches. We believe healthcare should look beyond symptoms to understand the whole person. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to support people with complex and chronic health concerns through personalised, evidence-informed care that empowers lasting improvements in health and wellbeing.
We’re looking for an experienced Functional Medicine Doctor to join our growing clinical team.
About the role
As a Functional Medicine Doctor at NCIM, you’ll work with patients seeking a deeper understanding of their health, using a functional medicine approach alongside conventional medical practice. You’ll have the opportunity to spend time with patients, explore the factors contributing to their health concerns, and develop personalised plans that support sustainable, long-term wellbeing.
You’ll work as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team, referring and collaborating with colleagues across nutrition, coaching, pharmacy and a range of complementary therapies to ensure patients receive truly integrated care.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
