Key Responsibilities
As the Mobile Functional Tester, your role will focus on:
- Planning & executing functional testing across iOS and Android platforms in a fast-paced environment.
- Designing detailed test cases based on detailed business requirements to validate mobile workflows.
- Validating APIs and backend systems via tools such as Postman or REST frameworks.
- Using advanced mobile debugging tools including:
- Android Studio (for Android) and Xcode (for iOS)
- Network analysis & proxy tools to diagnose anomalies.
- Collaborating with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure test coverage aligns with business objectives.
- Identifying, logging, and tracking defects through kill bug/initially QA tools.
- Supporting integration and end-to-end testing across systems and devices.
- Contributing to test documentation and maintenance of traceability metrics.
- Active participation in all Agile/Done practices—including sprint planning, sprint reviews, and smoketest retrospectives.

Essential Profile Requirements
Beliefs & Competencies
Indicated essential skills knowledge theatre:
- Strong prior professional experience in mobile application testing (preferably iOS/Android).
- Deep understanding of mobile application behaviour, OS architecture, and performance.
- Proficiency with test automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Selenium, or Selenium Blue).
- Hands-on experience with mobile debugging tools such as Xcode, Android Studio and network interceptors.
- Familiarity with APIs and backend validation using tools like Postman, Querystring, or REST Client.
- Exposure to cloud platforms/AWS services and continuous integration practices.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically.
