Fund Accountant – 3 Month Contract (Potential to Extend)
Day Rate / FTC Salary Negotiable
We are partnering with a leading global investment firm to recruit an experienced Fund Accountant / Fund Controller for an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing finance team supporting a complex private credit platform, where you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial management and reporting of a range of investment funds.
This is a hands-on position within a collaborative, lean team, requiring someone who enjoys taking ownership, working across multiple workstreams and building strong relationships with colleagues across Finance, Operations, Treasury and the Investment teams. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Production and review of monthly, quarterly and annual fund reporting
- Oversight of NAV production and review of fund administrator deliverables
- Preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards
- Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors
- Review capital calls, distributions and other investor transactions
- Perform portfolio, cash and investment reconciliations
- Review management fees, performance fees and fund expenses
- Work closely with fund administrators to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Support investor reporting and respond to ad hoc information requests
- Assist with new fund launches, restructurings and process improvement initiatives
- Drive efficiencies within existing reporting and control processes
- Partner with internal stakeholders across Finance, Operations and the Investment team on a range of business initiatives

Candidate Profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualified experience within fund accounting or fund control
- Strong experience within private credit, direct lending, alternative credit or hedge funds (credit experience is essential)
- Previous experience working with complex fund structures and investment vehicles
- Strong understanding of fund accounting principles, financial reporting and investment operations
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate large datasets
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
