Fund Controller - London

Exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business at their prestigious HQ in London.
The role will act as a fund controller overseeing the production of financial deliverables from Private Markets related products, primarily funds. This will mean extensive interaction with administrators and their preparation of financial reports, as well as with auditors and other service providers.
The role also offers opportunity to work on AI and Automation of accounting processes within the company's own FinTech product.

Key Activities

Fund accounting:

  • Oversight of capital activities of funds (subs / reds / calls / distributions)
  • Monitoring of budgets, cash and trial balances as required to ensure accurate and timely reporting of all fund NAVs
  • Manage transactional flows from subscription to underlying investments
  • Support fund audits and applicable financial reporting requirements
  • Develop and monitor fund modelling to cover valuations, performance fees, liquidity management and operational expenditure
  • Liaise with tax advisors to support establishment of investor tax reporting

Fund lifecycle:

  • Oversee all aspects, from fund formation through to day-to-day ongoing fund operations
  • Development of service models to manage funds across multi-jurisdictions
  • Support of fund governance (Board, AIFM, Depositary etc.)

Service providers:

  • Support the management of relationships with service providers, including selection, onboarding and ongoing service review
  • Ensure that fund investors receive quality of service and cost optimisation

Regulatory and compliance:

  • Working to ensure these aspects of fund operations are met (e.g Annex IV, PRIIPS / KID, Tax reporting)

Implement and develop operating model:

  • Efficient processes and standards including the use of technology solutions to support growth and scalability
  • Documentation of procedures
