Our client, a leading global alternative investment manager, is seeking a Fund Controller to join its growing European Credit Finance team in London.

This is an opportunity to join a highly successful and global leader in the credit space, supporting a broad range of established and newly launched credit funds. Offering significant exposure across the organisation, the role will see you partnering with teams across Finance, Investment, Portfolio Management, Valuations, Legal, Tax, and Client Solutions. It's a varied position that combines technical fund accounting with commercial exposure and the opportunity to contribute to new product launches and process improvement initiatives.

You will play an integral role in the financial oversight and reporting of both closed-ended and open-ended funds within the European Credit business. Working closely with the wider Finance and Operations teams, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Maintaining and reviewing fund accounting records within Investran and VPM
  • Ensuring reconciliations are completed accurately against administrator records
  • Supporting the quarterly valuation process
  • Calculating management fees and carried interest
  • Maintaining investor and fund performance data
  • Responding to investor queries

The role also involves:

  • Monitoring fund liquidity
  • Budgeting and expense analysis
  • Reviewing and approving invoices
  • Overseeing relationships with external fund administrators and auditors to ensure the timely delivery of financial information

Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, you'll support the launch of new funds and investment products while working closely with stakeholders across multiple business areas and international offices.

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll ideally have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • 4–7 years' experience within fund finance, fund accounting, or fund administration.
  • Previous experience working with investment funds, ideally within credit or alternative asset management.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience working with fund structures.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with a willingness to take ownership and drive improvements.
  • Experience using AI tools and technology to enhance processes and improve efficiency.
