Fund Controller | Deal Support | Private Equity | London

We're partnering with a leading, multi-billion-dollar private equity manager, actively investing and in a strong period of growth; to hire a Fund Controller into a newly expanded Fund Finance team.

This is a broad, deal-facing seat for someone who wants a more commercially orientated role. You'll sit at the intersection of fund control, financial modelling and deal support; partnering with the investment teams as deals are structured and closed.

The role

  • Financial and scenario modelling and forecasting at fund level
  • Dry powder and capital deployment analysis
  • Deal support — coordinating closings, board timelines and deal-team workflows across a select number of high-value transactions each year
  • Working closely with the investment/deal teams and wider fund operations function
  • Fund control across a complex, multi-fund private equity platform, oversight of fund accounting, reporting and fund-level financials

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
