About the Role
Alterna Search has partnered with an investment fund to appoint a highly broad and commercial Fund Controller.
With a distinctive mandate within the investment ecosystem, the firm has built significant momentum since inception, successfully raising capital, expanding its portfolio, and strengthening its market presence. As the business enters its next phase of growth, this newly created role offers the opportunity to gain financial and strategic exposure within a scaling investment platform.
Responsibilities
Working closely alongside senior leadership, the Fund Controller will take ownership of the firm’s finance requirements, including:
- Fund financial management and investor reporting
- Data & analytics
- Portfolio monitoring
- Investee company valuations

Requirements
We are seeking an exceptional, recently qualified accountant from a Big Four or leading mid-tier audit background. Candidates will possess:

- Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills
- A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset
Experience in auditing funds or asset management would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Compensation and Benefits
- £60,000 base salary
- Discretionary bonus
