Goodman Masson is partnering with a globally recognised private markets investment firm to appoint a Fund Finance Director into a senior and highly visible role within its Finance function.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing investment platform, taking ownership of the financial oversight and control framework across a complex range of investment vehicles. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Investment, Product and Operations, the successful individual will play an important role in supporting the continued growth and evolution of the platform.
The business has a clear strategy for the future and continues to invest in building out its capabilities. This role will suit an experienced private markets finance professional who can bring strong technical expertise, commercial judgement and the ability to operate independently within a sophisticated environment.
Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of the financial oversight and control framework across a range of complex private market investment vehicles, including NAV oversight, valuations, treasury and capital activity;
- Acting as a key finance partner to Investment, Product, Investor Relations and Operations teams, providing insight and supporting commercial decision-making;
- Overseeing fund operations across multiple jurisdictions and currencies, ensuring robust governance, effective controls and accurate financial reporting;
- Managing relationships with key external service providers, including fund administrators, depositaries, auditors and other specialist partners;
- Supporting new fund launches, structural developments and ongoing enhancements to investment products and operating models;
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and controls to support continued scalability and operational excellence;
- Providing technical leadership and guidance across the wider Finance team;
- Preparing and presenting financial and operational insights to senior stakeholders, contributing to strategic discussions and business decisions.

Profile:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) with around 8 years' post-qualified experience, gained within private markets or alternative investments;
- Strong experience overseeing fund finance, financial control or fund accounting activities within an investment manager, alternative asset manager, or comparable financial services environment;
- Detailed understanding of private market investment structures, including NAV oversight, valuations, financial reporting and operational governance;
- Experience managing relationships with external service providers and working collaboratively across multiple internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to operate as a senior finance partner, combining technical expertise with strong commercial judgement and influencing skills;
- Experience leading, developing or mentoring finance professionals, with excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
