Autumnal Partners are working on a rare opportunity to find a finance director to lead the fund finance function of one of the UK's leading mid-market private equity firms.
About the Client
Our client is a highly regarded private equity investor with over £2bn of assets under management, investing in high-growth UK technology and tech-enabled businesses. With an outstanding track record and an institutional investor base, the firm has built a reputation for long-term value creation and collaborative investing.
As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Fund Finance Director to take ownership of the firm's fund finance platform and become a key member of the leadership team.
Working Alongside
Working alongside the Finance Partner, you'll gain exposure well beyond day-to-day fund operations, contributing to fundraising, fund structuring, financing, and wider strategic initiatives across the firm.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Partner, you'll lead all aspects of fund finance across multiple private equity funds, working closely with the investment team, external advisers, and institutional investors.
You'll take ownership of:

- Fund financial reporting and investor communications
- Capital calls, distributions, and liquidity management
- Audit, tax, and regulatory oversight
- Fund structuring, financing, and fundraising support
- Relationships with fund administrators, auditors, and key external stakeholders
- Leading and developing the fund finance team
- Driving operational improvement and finance transformation initiatives
About You
You'll be an experienced private equity fund finance professional with the confidence and credibility to operate at a senior leadership level.
You'll bring:
- Significant private equity or alternative asset fund finance experience
- Strong knowledge of fund structures and investor reporting
- A collaborative leadership style
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- ACA (or equivalent) qualification (8-12 years PQE)
