Fundamental Analyst Intern
About the Role
Lombard Odier Investment Managers (“LOIM”) is the asset management business of the Lombard Odier Group. In order to strengthen our Alternatives team, we are looking for a:
- You will join a global business of more than 120 investment professionals and a network of 13 offices across Europe, Asia and North America.
- You will report to the Portfolio Managers of the Event Driven opportunities strategies and the asset based lending strategies - a highly collaborative, multicultural, passionate team.
- You will have the opportunity to work directly with the Portfolio Managers and gain direct exposure to all aspects of the investing process – eg attending meetings with companies, liase with other analysts, financial modelling and analysis, etc.
- This role has the potential to lead to a full time analyst role.

YOUR ROLE
- Modelling and carrying out financial analysis on the companies in the investment universe consisting of credit and equity situations so as to eventually identify investment opportunities
- Building expertise on some parts of the process such as sell side research monitoring, earnings preparation, earnings revisions so as to optimize trading around position
- Through coding, automatize screening and help making idea generation more systematic
- Once financial analysis is mastered and the investment universe understood, take charge of our AI implementation by training an AI agent to do the modelling.
YOUR PROFILE
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, finance, economics, or engineering
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical modeling and data analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong willingness to want to put in huge effort and want to learn
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting
