Are you interested in helping us secure funds and donations? We are looking for an enterprising person to help us improve our finances. Can you help us find more sponsors, check on regional statistical information and attend events including networking?
What difference will you make?
There is scope for you to come up with innovative ideas and have fun at the same time.
Training and support will be given. If you have an interest in securing funding applications, we can organise specific training. Expenses will be covered.

What are we looking for?
Skills & Experience Required
- Interest in securing funding applications.
- Ideally we are looking for volunteers with at least three years of professional experience in one or more of our key skills areas, however training and support will be offered to all volunteers as part of the role so all levels of existing experience, skills and knowledge is always welcome!
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- People orientated and approachable, familiar with hosting and liaising with contacts.

What will you be doing?
Responsibilities And Duties
- To have a clear idea of what projects need funding and time lines by discussions with CEO.
- To keep a list of all potential funders and identify what they will fund.
- To make contact with the relevant individuals at Dartford/Gravesham Councils for local funding. (Other areas to be added next year).
- To attend training sessions organised by Kent Community Foundation, Funding for All, and others. Many will be webinar training, some will be in person. Expenses will be paid.
- Attend Funding and Networking opportunities.
- Prepare funding applications for approval by CEO and submit to potential donors.
- Keep files of all applications and copies in the office.
- Follow up - Many funders require further information such as invoices, proof of project, photos etc. Prepare these and submit.
- Evaluating and measuring impact.
- Collecting relevant statistics.
- Maintain communication with local government funding officers.
- Establish positive relationships with clients in every sector including government and media.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of events and advertising campaigns to determine which ones to continue with.
- Attend our events and speak to guests and potential funders.
- Conduct research on fundraising opportunities.
- Coming up with ingenious ways to raise funds.
- Interaction and collaboration with other community groups.
