About the Role

As a small, volunteer-led organisation, our ability to continue saving the lives of stray cats in Turkey depends entirely on fundraising and community support. We are looking for compassionate, creative, and proactive volunteers to join our fundraising team.

What difference will you make?

You will ensure that we can continue to save the lives of stray cats in Türkiye.

What are we looking for?

We’d love to hear from volunteers who have

  • A track record or passion for community fundraising or creative campaigns
  • Enthusiasm for helping to grow Help A Stray Cat’s fundraising capacity
  • Experience in charity fundraising
  • Interest in developing a regular giving or sponsorship programme
  • Awareness of the current fundraising landscape and social-media-based giving trends
  • Reliability, organisation, and good time management
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, as part of a small virtual team
  • Strong written English and clear communication

You’ll play a key role in developing and coordinating our fundraising efforts to support the rescue and care of stray cats.

  • Developing and delivering community fundraising ideas — such as charity sales, online raffles, sponsorship drives, or donor campaigns.
  • Working closely with our social media and communications team to ensure fundraising messages align with ongoing rescue stories and campaigns.
  • Helping manage the donor acknowledgment and stewardship process through platforms like Localgiving and Instagram.
  • Keeping up to date with fundraising trends and suggesting innovative tools or methods (e.g., crowdfunding, digital donation platforms, or virtual events).
