I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What Will You Be Doing?
We are looking for somebody who is as passionate about improving the visibility and long-term sustainability of charities and movements across the UK as we are. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building, strategic outreach and helping organisations grow their impact.
Mighty Kind has only recently launched, but already has ambitious plans to support charities and community organisations across the UK with their identity, digital systems, advertising, photography and videography, websites, fundraising support, and wider visibility. We have already had the opportunity to deliver a full rebrand for a national organisation and continue supporting them as an ongoing design consultant. Since launching the new branding, the organisation has seen a significant increase in engagement and visibility, and we are now receiving interest from a growing number of organisations looking to work with us.
