Fundraising Executive
Location: Murtle Estate, Bieldside, Aberdeen (with flexibility for occasional remote working)
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) Contract: Full-time, permanent (37.5 hours per week) Holidays: 34 days (including public holidays) Pension: 3% employer / 5% employee contribution Reports to: Fundraising Manager Requirements: PVG check required
About Us
Camphill Estates (Charity No. SC012065) provides land and property stewardship to four partner Camphill charities in Aberdeen City and Shire: Beannachar, Camphill School Aberdeen, Camphill Wellbeing Trust and Simeon Care for the Elderly.
Through strategic stewardship and professional fundraising support, Camphill Estates enables these charities to continue their life-changing work, supporting people with and without complex needs to live meaningful, fulfilling lives within inclusive communities.
You’ll be based at the beautiful Murtle Estate, an active part of a thriving Camphill community, and get the opportunity to engage with and collaborate with each of the partner charities.

About the Role
We’re seeking a talented, confident, and motivated Fundraising Executive to join our growing fundraising/development team. In this role, you’ll play a central part in a range of fundraising activities, including:
- Managing our corporate volunteering programme
- Attending networking events
- Delivering presentations to external stakeholders
- Writing compelling bids and reports for trusts
- Supporting event and PR work
You’ll work closely with the Fundraising Manager, Senior Fundraising Executive, and the wider fundraising team. Training is available to support the successful candidate.
Role Variety
You’ll be fundraising for a diverse range of capital and revenue projects, from small budgets to multi-million-pound endeavours:
- A multi-million-pound extension of a care home
- Building refurbishments for residential care and vocational workshops
- Equipment such as solar panels, polytunnels, and basket swings
- Staff salaries

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance income from local organisations, businesses, corporates, and community groups
- Identify and develop long-term relationships with local business leaders, companies, and community entities
- Support corporate volunteering initiatives, including on- and offsite events, by crafting proposals, organising activities, and delivering impactful presentations
- Attend local networking events and develop new connections
- Research and identify relevant funders, including trusts, foundations, and public donor schemes
- Maintain a strong, diverse pipeline of potential funding opportunities
- Write and submit high-quality, well-researched funding proposals tailored to specific criteria
- Provide stewardship care for corporates and trusts through reports and stakeholder communications
- Collaborate across charities to gather project stories, impact data, and compelling case studies
- Keep records updated in Salesforce CRM
- Contribute to event planning, PR campaigns, and other fundraising activities as needed
- Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and keep abreast of sector trends (e.g., ESG principles)
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive, approachable demeanour
- Empathetic communications with strong storytelling, persuasive, and motivational writing abilities
- Self-motivated with outstanding organisational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
- Previous work experience (minimum two years) with strong communication, networking, and organisational requirements
- Can craft results-driven proposals with high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, juggle priorities, and adapt to changing needs
- Collaboration mindset with a team-first approach
- Experience with Microsoft 365; familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce a plus) encouraged
- Flexible approach for additional tasks as required
- Interest in third-sector work, with a particular focus on social care, learning disabilities or education

Desirable
- Fundraising-specific experience (minimum of two years)
- Database familiarisation with ** respi or proactive research tools**
- Commissioned funding writing/research experience (applications/grants/impact reports)
- A strong understanding of Scottish charitable sector funders
- Background in social care, learning disabilities or educational fundraising and facilitation

Essential
✔ Minimum of two years’ experience in roles requiring excellent communication ✔ Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills ✔ Demonstrated abilities as an enthusiastic, persuasive communicator with proven network building ✔ Strong writing and proposal crafting expertise ✔ Exceptionally organised and meticulous, with multi-tasking abilities ✔ Ability to meet deadlines, manage workload, and adopt a collaborative mindset
Desirable
