Role Description
The Fundraising Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. This role involves identifying and cultivating relationships with donors, philanthropic organizations, and charitable foundations that align with OpenApply’s mission and growth goals. The Fundraising Officer will design and execute fundraising campaigns, prepare compelling proposals and reports, and maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Coordinating fundraising events
- Managing outreach communications
- Collaborating with internal teams on impact narratives and marketing materials
- Tracking performance metrics to optimize fundraising strategies
The individual in this role will be expected to represent OpenApply professionally, uphold ethical fundraising practices, and contribute to long-term partnership development.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Philanthropy and Charities, with an understanding of donor behavior, fundraising ethics, and nonprofit or education-related giving.
- Solid Organization Skills to manage multiple campaigns, timelines, donor databases, and reporting requirements.
- Strong Writing skills to craft proposals, impact stories, presentations, and donor correspondence.
- Experience in fundraising, development, or partnerships within education, technology, or nonprofit sectors is highly beneficial.
- Ability to analyze data, build fundraising pipelines, and use CRM or donor management tools is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Communications, Business, Public Policy, or Social Sciences) or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and commitment to equitable, non-discriminatory practices when working with donors and beneficiaries.
