We're looking for a Volunteer who can lead on the research, planning and execution of fundraising activities in the Peterborough area! We're looking for someone who can coordinate a team of fearless fundraisers with the support of the Fundraising Hub.
What difference will you make?
The Fundraising Team Leader role will have a significant and lasting impact on our organisation by strengthening both our financial sustainability and our community engagement. By inspiring and coordinating a team of fundraising volunteers, this role ensures that we can continue to provide essential care and support for cats in need.
The funds raised through local events directly enable us to cover vital costs such as veterinary treatment, food, shelter, and rehabilitation. Without consistent and creative fundraising efforts, many of these services would be at risk. A strong team leader brings structure, motivation, and fresh ideas, helping volunteers to organise successful and engaging events that maximise income while raising awareness of our work.
Beyond the financial contribution, this role plays a key part in building a sense of community around our cause. By supporting and encouraging volunteers, the Fundraising Team Leader helps individuals feel valued and connected, increasing volunteer retention and satisfaction. This creates a more resilient and committed volunteer base, which is essential for the long-term success of our organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
