The Opportunity
Joseph O'Connell Funeral Service in Crewe is seeking casual Funeral Service Operatives with flexible hours.
This role is perfect for those who want to work around other commitments.
What You’ll Do
Funeral Operatives are the most integral part of our service, often the first team members families meet. You will:
- Provide comfort and reassurance to families, ensuring their loved ones are cared for with compassion.
- Work in mortuary operations, including coffin preparation, dressing the deceased, and assisting with palls.
- Attend and support funeral services, including pallbearing.
- Drive company vehicles (full driving licence required).
- Work variable hours, including out-of-hours and on-call duties, earning additional payments.

Requirements
- No formal qualifications required, but a compassionate, professional, and flexible attitude is essential.
- Must hold a full driving licence.
- Willingness to work on-call and variable shifts, including evenings/weekends.
