Location: John Roach Funeral Directors, Johnstone Salary: £27,500 per annum Contract: Full Time Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30

The Opportunity
Based at John Roach Funeral Directors – Johnstone, our Funeral Service Operatives are the calm, professional faces of our service—often the first to welcome grieving families. This role involves:
Key Responsibilities
- Providing reassurance and comfort to families during a difficult time
- Handling all aspects of care for the deceased, including:
- Mortuary duties
- Coffin preparation and dressing of the deceased
- Assisting throughout funeral services
- Pallbearing and logistics coordination
- Operating company vehicles (full driving licence required)
- Working evenings and weekends (on-call rota available)
- Trainee Funeral Director pathway to support business needs
