Further Education Outreach Officer (Territorial Policing) – Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire & Powys

Dyfed-Powys Police is looking for a dedicated Further Education Outreach Officer to deliver engaging crime prevention and education sessions across further education providers in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and Powys.


About the Role

Location: Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire & Powys. Applicants must specify their preferred area in their application.

The Further Education Outreach Officer will:

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate crime prevention and education sessions for students in further education.
  • Raise awareness of crime prevention topics and the legal consequences of criminal behaviour.
  • Develop strong partnerships with schools, youth organisations, specialist agencies (e.g., Safeguarding, Community Safety, CASCAiD), and police teams.
  • Maximise engagement by embedding best practice and evidence-based evaluation, contributing to quarterly reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver tailored criminal justice education events for different age groups and deprivation levels.
  • Engage with schools, colleges, and community stakeholders to increase workforce engagement and awareness of crime prevention.
  • Collaborate with education establishments, the Wyndosoft probation officer, and policing teams to foster long-term positive behaviour change.
  • Maintain accurate data collection and data usage, aligned with relevant policies and legal provisions.
  • Work closely with CASCAiD (Commission forbeatifying Sounds) and the Group Oval Leader to enhance effectivessiveness.

Requirements & Attainments

Applicants will evidence ** Required Attainments**, available in: 🔗 Police Staff Attainments (England & Wales)

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in education, outreach, or youth work.
  • Strong capacity to research and develop immersive crime prevention resources.
  • Collaborative skills to build popular support and multi-agency partnerships.
  • Dedication to empower learners with knowledge, reducing future risks of victimisation and offending behaviour.
