This role is available to current students at the University of Leeds only
Interviews are expected to be held on the 03 September 2026.
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements. The post will be offered on an SS4 contract and the successful candidates will work 210 hours flexibly between the contract start date and the end date of 31 July 2027.

Cultural Collections & Galleries (CC&G), part of University of Leeds Libraries, comprises The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery, Treasures of the Brotherton and the Brotherton Research Centre.

The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery shows highlights from the University Art Collection as well as a programme of innovative, socially engaged temporary exhibitions. In Treasures of the Brotherton you will discover the finest rare books, manuscripts, art and archives from our world-renowned Cultural Collections and uncover the stories behind them.
As a Student Engagement Intern for Cultural Collections & Galleries you’ll be involved in planning, promoting, delivering and evaluating our events and engagement offer for students and community groups at the University of Leeds, using your own knowledge and experience.
It’s an opportunity for you to develop your project planning, presentation and communication skills. You will discover how to engage and inspire audiences using Cultural Collections and will be mentored as you work on a project which will be of lasting benefit to the Galleries and their visitors.

You will help raise awareness of our Galleries, collections and activities amongst students on campus and work with colleagues across the University community to do this. The feedback you gather as part of this process will help inform our service development.
