About the Role

As the face of TASCHEN at Sotheby’s, you will take ownership of our dedicated space, representing the brand to collectors, art professionals, interior designers and international clients. You will proactively engage visitors, cultivate new collector relationships and drive sales of our Collector’s Editions and curated publishing programme.

This is a highly client-facing role combining luxury sales, client development, visual merchandising and operational ownership within one of the world’s most prestigious auction houses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent TASCHEN with professionalism, enthusiasm and expert product knowledge.
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities, engage collectors and convert interest into sales while delivering an exceptional client experience.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with collectors, interior designers, art advisors and existing TASCHEN clients through proactive clienteling.
  • Expand TASCHEN’s collector community by identifying and developing new client relationships.
  • Take full ownership of the TASCHEN presentation space, ensuring impeccable visual merchandising, stock availability and brand standards at all times.
  • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock replenishment and place orders as required.
  • Support product launches, exclusive events and special activations in collaboration with the wider TASCHEN team.
  • Provide regular feedback on customer interests, market trends and commercial opportunities.

Your Profile

  • Passionate about art, photography, architecture, design, fashion and luxury publishing.
  • Commercially minded, confident and results-oriented, with a genuine enthusiasm for sales.
  • Experienced in building relationships with discerning international collectors and high-net-worth clientele.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial and motivated to exceed sales targets.
  • Impeccably presented with excellent attention to detail.
  • A self-starter who enjoys working independently and taking ownership of a unique retail environment.
  • Previous experience in luxury retail, galleries, auction houses, publishing or premium customer service is highly desirable.
