Gallery FUMI is seeking a confident, proactive and commercially minded Gallery Sales Coordinator with 3+ years’ experience in a sales role within the contemporary design industry.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the contemporary design scene in which Gallery FUMI operates, with a genuine interest in collectible design, contemporary craft and artist-led practices. They will be confident managing client relationships, supporting sales activity, developing new opportunities and representing the gallery with professionalism and enthusiasm.
This is an office-based, full-time role in central London, working 5 days per week, including 1–2 Saturdays per month as required. A performance-based bonus structure is offered.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial gallery or sales-focused creative environment
- Strong understanding of the contemporary design market and Gallery FUMI’s area of practice
- Proven experience managing client relationships and supporting sales
- Confident presenting works to collectors, interior designers, consultants and visitors
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong communication, organisational and follow-up skills
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Understanding of Artlogic and ArtAML procedures preferred
- Knowledge of French, Italian or Spanish preferred but not essential

Responsibilities

- Support sales activity across exhibitions, art fairs, private appointments and client enquiries
- Develop and maintain relationships with collectors, interior designers, consultants and other key contacts
- Follow up with clients professionally, sharing relevant information, images, prices, availability and tailored sales materials and presentations
- Maintain accurate client and sales-related information within the gallery database
- Support invoicing, payment follow-up and post-sale coordination when required
- Coordinate samples, material references, client documentation and relevant post-sale materials
- Represent the gallery professionally during exhibitions, private views, events and art fairs
- Welcome visitors and provide informed, engaging information about works, artists and designers
- Ensure the gallery remains professional, well-presented and client-ready
- Work closely with the wider team to support smooth sales operations and an excellent client experience
