Game Artist

Gaming

Welcome to the world of land-based gaming. At Light & Wonder, it’s all about the games, and our Gaming team builds cutting-edge technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators across the globe.

Position Summary

Based in the heart of Spinningfields, Manchester, Light & Wonder is home to a talented team of over seventy development professionals dedicated to creating engaging game content for both UK and international markets. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly collaborative and creative environment where innovation and quality are at the forefront.

As a Game Artist, you will work as part of a dynamic graphics team, collaborating closely with graphic artists, software engineers, and game designers to bring visually compelling casino games to life. You will play a key role in developing game visuals from initial concept through to final production, as well as contributing to the creation of impactful marketing assets that support our global launches.

We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for gaming and a strong foundation in graphics tools such as Adobe Photoshop and After Effects. Experience with 3D modelling, animation tools like Autodesk Maya, and game development platforms such as Unity and Spine will help you stand out and succeed in this fast-paced, creative role.

This role is predominantly office-based (4 days per week) to support close collaboration with the team and to ensure artwork can be reviewed to the highest standard using our specialist in-studio equipment and large-format displays.

Alongside your CV, please include a portfolio link showcasing relevant work. Experience within the casino or gaming industry is highly desirable; however, we also welcome examples from related sectors.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
