Game Developer - Cocos2d-x | $120/hr Remote

Cocos2d-x Junior Game Developer

Position: Contract

Type: Contract Compensation: $50–$120/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine game logic, mechanics, and features using Cocos2d-x for both prototype and production-level projects
  • Collaborate closely with the customer's team to provide high-quality real-world input for AI training processes
  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot game assets and scenes to support a diverse set of training objectives
  • Test, debug, and optimize Cocos2d-x code to ensure robust and efficient gameplay experiences
  • Document code and processes thoroughly for clarity among both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Maintain open, clear written and verbal communication to report on project status and challenges

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of Cocos2d-x with hands-on experience in 2D game development workflows
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills within a game development context
  • Experience collaborating remotely with distributed teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and conciseness in updates and documentation
  • Ability to adhere to technical specifications while adapting to evolving project requirements
