The Opportunity: Game Mathematician

As a Game Mathematician, you will be pivotal in shaping player experience by designing the mathematical models that underpin our games. You will:

  • Translate complex theory into engaging gameplay.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to create balanced, high-performing, and captivating games adapted for global markets.
  • Bring a curated blend of creativity, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to early-stage game concepts, helping define mechanics and enhance player experience.
  • Develop mathematical models using:
    • Simulation tools
    • Programming (preference for C++; C# considered)
    • Spreadsheet and data analysis
  • Design and analyse key game metrics:
    • Return to Player (RTP)
    • Volatility
    • Payout structures
  • Collaborate closely with developers and designers to bring game concepts to life.
  • Ensure mathematics align with regulatory requirements across EMEA markets.
  • Continuously refine and optimise game performance for an engaging, high-value player experience.

About You

  • Experience developing mathematical models, preferably within gaming or iGaming.
  • Programming skills – Strong in C++ (preferred); acceptable in C# or other similar languages.
  • Advanced spreadsheet and data analysis capabilities.
  • Passion for gaming and a strong understanding of player-focused design principles.
  • Minimum of 1+ year experience in slot mathematics or a closely related field.
  • Industry experience in casino or gambling sectors is advantageous.
  • Creative and technical thinking that combines analytical rigor with design ingenuity.
  • Track record of contributing to successful game mechanics.
