The Role – Gameplay Designer
We are looking for a Gameplay Designer to join our team in Brighton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about casual mobile gameplay and wants to help shape games enjoyed by millions of players.
We're looking for an experienced designer who understands what makes core gameplay engaging, rewarding and fun. You'll bring experience in level design, gameplay optimisation and player engagement, helping us evolve and improve existing gameplay experiences.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in level design who is excited to apply that expertise more broadly across gameplay systems, progression, balancing and player experience.
What You'll Be Doing
- Help define gameplay design principles and best practices across the team.
- Design, build, test and refine levels and gameplay experiences within our live mobile game cores, such as Match-3 and Tile Blaster.
- Take a hands-on role in level creation, crafting engaging player experiences and continuously iterating based on player behaviour and performance data.
- Optimise gameplay systems, progression and balancing to improve engagement, retention and player enjoyment.
- Collaborate closely with designers, developers, artists, product leads and analysts to identify opportunities and implement improvements.
- Use player insights, analytics and market knowledge to inform design decisions.
- Explore and utilise AI to improve design efficiency, testing and optimisation while maintaining a strong focus on quality.
- Analyse competitor games and market trends to identify opportunities for innovation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
