- Ensure all mathematical documentation is accurate, version-controlled, and aligned with the final behavior of released games.
- Create and maintain internal standards, templates, and processes to improve consistency and efficiency across game production.
- Build spreadsheet models and software simulations to independently validate mathematical models developed internally or provided by external partners.
- Perform analytical reviews, verification processes, and formal evaluations of game mathematics before certification and release.
- Monitor live game performance, compare actual results against theoretical expectations, and investigate any identified deviations.
- Develop and maintain mathematical tools, calculators, and automation solutions to improve production workflows.
- Write, test, and document code used for mathematical tooling and verification processes.
- Collaborate with game designers, engineers, and external partners to ensure correct implementation of mathematical models.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
