Gameskeeper
Company Description Ware Escape Rooms is an entertainment company based in Ware, United Kingdom, specializing in immersive escape room experiences. The company designs and operates themed rooms where teams solve puzzles, uncover clues, and complete missions within a set time. Ware Escape Rooms focuses on delivering high-quality customer service and memorable group activities for friends, families, and coworkers. The environment is dynamic, customer-facing, and ideal for individuals who enjoy interactive, story-driven experiences. Team members are encouraged to bring creativity, reliability, and enthusiasm to every guest interaction. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Gameskeeper role based in Ware. The Gameskeeper will welcome and brief players, explain game rules and safety guidelines, and ensure each group is prepared for their escape room experience. During games, the Gameskeeper will monitor players via cameras, provide timely hints, and manage pacing to maintain both safety and enjoyment. After each session, the Gameskeeper will reset and check rooms, ensuring all props, puzzles, and technology are functioning correctly and ready for the next group. The role also includes assisting with basic cleaning and maintenance of the venue. Gameskeepers may also support light promotional activities, such as taking group photos, encouraging reviews, and sharing feedback with the team to improve the experience. Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups and provide clear instructions. Attention to detail and organizational skills to reset rooms accurately, follow procedures, and manage multiple bookings. Problem-solving skills and quick thinking to respond to unexpected situations and adapt hints to each team’s needs. Comfort working with basic technology, such as cameras, game control software, and audio/visual equipment. Ability to stand, move, and perform light physical tasks throughout a shift, including lifting and arranging props. Reliability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on peak customer hours. Experience in hospitality, retail, entertainment, or events is beneficial but not required. Interest in puzzles, games, or interactive storytelling is a plus, alongside a positive, team-oriented attitude.
